“Venus” Limited Edition Reduction Linoleum Block Print - Matted to 8”x10”

This is a limited edition reduction print depicting a statue of Venus. Reduction printmaking is the process of making a multi-layer, multi-color print from one linoleum block. After one layer is carved and printed with a specific color, this process is repeated until the last color is applied to the block. By the end of the process, the block is ruined and cannot create the same artwork again.

The mat dimensions are 8”x10”. It is printed on handmade abaca kozo paper with oil-based ink. Your print comes numbered, titled, and signed on the mat. This is a limited edition run of 22 prints. There may be subtle differences in ink coverage compared to what is seen on the product image. Each print is unique as it is made by hand and not machine.

Please note that this print is meant to be kept in the matting and not removed as it was a batch of prints with a background that was misprinted.
