“Housing is a Human Right” - signed and numbered limited edition linocut print, 25% of proceeds benefit Housing Opportunities Made Equal

“Housing is a Human Right” is a limited edition linoleum block print inspired by the work HOME (Housing Opportunities Made Equal), a local Cincinnati non-profit organization, is doing to ensure fair and equal access to housing and eliminating housing discrimination for everyone in Greater Cincinnati.

I collaborated with HOME and came up with a design that represents their mission. Their theme this year is “Security, Stability, HOME.” I incorporated this wording into the print, along with the year 1968 on the keystone arch of the door because HOME was founded in 1968. I wanted to show diverse individuals in their spaces doing the things they love, because home is a space to unwind and enjoy time with family, friends, and pets. The block includes 8 windows, 10 people, one dog, one cat, and approximately 1,347 bricks.

Details on the print: 

This print was made from a hand-carved and hand-printed linoleum block, designed by Emily. It is a limited edition print. Each print will come signed, titled, and numbered at the bottom. It is printed with oil-based ink on archival paper measuring 14”x18”. This is a standard frame size.  Due to the larger size, this will be rolled up and shipped in a cardboard tube.  

There may be subtle differences in ink coverage compared to what is seen on the product image. Each print is unique as it is made by hand and not machine.

The print does not come with a frame or backing. Nothing pictured alongside the print in the image is included. Purchase of print does not reflect transfer of copyright. Use of these print photos is prohibited unless previous written permission is obtained by the artist.
